Electronic controlled bottom loading skid supplied to Carrs Billington, Cockermouth UK Depot

OVERVIEW: Carrs Billington is one of the largest authorised oil distributors in the UK & currently covers the North of England & South of Scotland. We were asked to supply an electronic skid to a new depot as part of an ongoing depot upgrade & development programme. The main goal was to provide fast & safe tanker loading to allow an increase in sales of their fuel products.

SITE: Cockermouth, Cumbria, UK – New build oil distribution depot

IFC SOLUTION:TANKER LOADING SKIDElectronic controlled bottom loading skid with loading arms & meters with flow rates up to 1200 l/min, fitted with the latest 5 point skid safety system.

DEPOT AUTOMATION – MHT TAS, Terminal Automation software. This monitors & controls the fuel stock being loaded through the skid.

TANK GAUGING – MHT VTW tank gauging system allows accurate stock reconciliation both locally and by remote link to head office. High level tank alarms & digital field displays fitted for added depot safety.

STORAGE TANKS – 3 x 70,000 litre bunded tankswith a separate lockable fill cabinet allowing simultaneous loading & delivery operations.

IFC provided all site mechanical and electrical works along with full equipment commissioning.

Successfully supplied & installed on time & in budget allowing the depot to open before the busy winter period. The new equipment now provides faster tanker loading up to 1200l/min combined with greater depot & operator safety & more accurate stock control systems.
