Static Ground System

Static Ground System

A Static Ground System is essential for safe operation of loading fuel tankers with petrochemical flammable liquids. Petroleum and other flammable liquids have the potential to ignite, hence the need for grounding systems to secure a site.

The Earth-Rite RTR is a static grounding device designed to prevent the build-up of static electricity on the tank & chassis of a tanker during loading. We are a distributor for this product which is made by Newson Gale, a company with 30 years’ experience manufacturing static control products.

Without any type of tanker earth grounding, it is possible for build ups of static electricity to cause a safety risk which is especially dangerous when chemicals, petroleum, & certain powders are being loaded. Earthing the road tankers ensures there is no build-up of static electricity, & specifying the Earth-Rite RTR ensures a reliable anti-static solution – over 3,000 units are currently in use.

The Earth-Rite RTR constantly monitors & verifies the potential build-up of static electricity, & its universal connection stainless steel clamp makes it easy and quick to attach to various types & sizes of bulk tankers. The unit is straightforward to use with a clear LED display; it can operate in extreme temperature conditions ranging from -40℃ to +55℃ & is made from durable cast aluminium.

In many cases, we supply the Earth-Rite RTR for road tanker grounding as part of a package of tanker loading equipment & we recommend its use when in conjunction with our range loading arms & folding stair systems.
