The Dangers of Working at Height
We work across a number of industries such as the Food and Beverage industry and Oil and Petroleum industry where there are many different risks and dangers. In many cases, employees are tasked with working at height which means that it is important that the correct safety systems and solutions are put in place.
Workplace safety is vital for many different reasons. It keeps employees safe and ensures that employers meet all laws and regulations. Therefore, it pays to invest in reliable and proven solutions that make it possible to manage and maintain safety in the workplace.
Neglecting safety in the workplace simply is not an option. A fall from height could prove fatal or it could result in life-changing injuries. Therefore, if you fail to put the correct solutions in place, you are increasing the risk of an incident, increasing the likelihood of being sued while driving down employee satisfaction.
When you show that you care about the health and safety of your workforce, you will improve morale and productivity. It will prove to employees that you have taken the relevant steps to ensure they remain safe when working at height.
Using our expertise, we can help you to ensure that you implement the right solutions and systems that prevent falls. Unfortunately, it is not possible to eliminate all risks in certain roles and industries and that places a focus on taking the correct approach to safety. Access should be safe, equipment should be suitable, stable and strong enough while you should also make sure that all equipment is maintained correctly.
In 2019/2020, falls from height were the biggest cause of workplace deaths in the UK. Along with this, 8% of the 693,000 non-fatal injuries were caused by falls from height. The injuries will vary in severity but the problems that are associated with it could cause severe reputational damage to your business.
