One of the UK’s leading distilleries contacted IFC Inflow to improve the onsite safety of their employees. The site in question had workers accessing the back of ISO Tankers, loading and unloading spirits for transportation on a daily basis. The solution in place before IFC took on the project involved workers climbing on the back of the vehicle in order to carry out the loading and unloading processes. Despite utilizing bottom loading solutions for this operation, employees were still working at heights of 1.2m while carrying out tasks everyday. During our risk assessment of the site, IFC identified this as a risk to employees, putting them in danger of fall from height related accidents.
IFC Inflow offered our LowTank portable tanker access ladder system as a solution to this. The LowTank system offers safe and easy access onto the back of ISO tank trucks, with a three rail safety cage to remove the risk of fall from height related accidents. IFC were able to successfully implement this on the distillery site with great success, thus minimizing the risk to employee safety and removing any danger of serious accidents occurring as a result of loading operations.
