Chemical & Petroleum Top Loading
ChemLoad & PetroLoad – Our ChemLoad tanker loading arms are ideal for use with a range of liquids including chemicals, solvents, paints, foods and other liquids that require special handling. These arms can be used for open, semi-open or closed fill applications. Options include heated loading arms using electric tracing, oil or steam and thermally clad and jacketed loading arms for insulation, ideal for liquids which have to be maintained at higher temperatures.
Our PetroLoad arms are widely used for petroleum products and are ideal for multiple arm loading gantries. A wide range of our petroleum top loading arms are used extensively in many parts of the world where top loading is still common.
Trace Heated & Clad Loading Arms
Trace heating on our loading arms is designed to maintain a specific temperature window during loading. Common applications include keeping substances like bitumen or chocolate hot to maintain viscosity and/or prevent the product from spoiling. IFC offers several mechanisms for heating; Self-Limiting Electric Trace – for both safe and hazardous areas. External Tubing – for steam or hot oil. Steel Jacket Design – for extensive thermal coverage. Typically heated loading arms are clad in rock wool insulation with an aluminium outer cladding to maintain the temperature in adverse conditions and minimise heat loss. At maintenance points and swivel joints, special removable insulated sleeves are used secured with velcro to facilitate access. The result is a loading solution that can handle thermally sensitive products during the loading and unloading process.
Chemical & Petroleum Top Loading Arms & Gantry Loading
IFC offers a range of top loading arms for the loading and unloading of liquids into road tankers and rail cars. Liquids are transferred through the manhole in the top of the tanker and our arms can be designed to suit almost any application.
Top Loading Arms Can Be Used For
Open Loading Where the drop tube is inserted into the open manway.
Semi-Open Loading Where the arm is fitted with a cone or plate which fits into the open manway and allows vapour to be managed away from the load area.
Closed Loading Where the arm is connected to the tanker through a closed connection on the top of the tanker.
