For more than 30 years, IFC Inflow has designed and built railcar loading platforms, ranging from basic access gantries, all the way up to fall protection systems with access floor panels. Designed to comply health and safety requirements of railcar fall protection. Our systems help to keep rail workers safe at all times.

Throughout the UK and Europe, the wide range of configurations used by railcar manufacturers means there’s great need for flexible access solutions. Our rail access systems are all designed to keep workers safe and efficient when working on top of rail cars.

When full access to the top of a railcar is needed, products such as the Flowstep perfect. The stairs lower over the railcar, and the workers are protected one of our safety cages that surrounds them. These systems reduce the risk when stepping onto and off of the railcar. When prolonged access, our MultiLev system provides the safest access.

A MultiLev access platform has a grated floor, surrounded by safety railings. These lower over the railcar. The panels in the floor then open to access the railcar at the most convenient position. This satisfies the CIA by eliminating the risk of falls by having workers on a platform rather than working directly on railcars.

Railcar Loading Systems – Bulk Loading for Rail

IFC offers multiple methods for bulk loading rail cars, depending on the volume of liquid and the frequency of loading.

For fuelling diesel, we offer a range of high speed fuel dispensers, controlled by computer systems that monitor and track fuel being dispensed. All of our fuel dispensers are fitted with high quality MannTek couplings – a brand for whom IFC are a Master Distributor in the UK.

For the loading of tankers, many rail companies chose to use our ChemLoad top loading arms, combined with one of our safe access products. The ChemLoad range is made up of several designs of loading arm. All of which can be configured with features including trace heating and food-safe linings.

While many railway companies chose top loading arms. A growing number are now are commiting to using bottom loading. By using bottom loading arms workers are kept on the ground at all times, improving health and safety.

MannTek Couplings

IFC Inflow are a proud Master Distributor of the MannTek range of couplings, including their wide range of safety break couplings, dry disconnect couplings and flyte couplings.

MannTek couplings are designed for spill free liquid handling of fuels, chemicals and gases. They are suitable for fitting to loading and unloading hoses or loading arms. Available in a range of sizes from 1” up to 6”.

These easy to connect dry break couplings are used for many different applications. These include chemicals, petroleum fuels, aviation and anywhere that dangerous fluids, such as acids, are being used.

Along with operator safety, our dry disconnect couplings substantially reduce the risk of environmental spillage. Therefore helping to provide environmentally safe liquid transfer.
