Modular Access System: A Simpler Approach to Safe Site Access

Industrial sites aren’t always straightforward places to move around.

Pipework, conveyors, ducting and fixed equipment can create obstacles that people need to navigate every day, while changes in height can make access between different areas more challenging. And as sites and processes evolve, access routes that once worked can become awkward or introduce unnecessary risk.

At IFC Inflow, we’ve spent decades designing access and fall prevention solutions around individual sites. But not every access challenge requires a large or fully bespoke structure.

Sometimes, a simpler solution is the right one.

That’s why we’ve introduced our new Modular Access System (MAS-Lite).

Designed for everyday access challenges

MAS-Lite provides a practical way to create safer, defined access over and around obstacles in industrial, chemical and process environments.

Available as a Crossover, Stairway or Platform, the system can be used for a range of applications – from crossing pipework and conveyors to providing access between different working levels or creating a safe working platform.

Its modular design also means it can be assembled quickly with the use of hand tools, and without the need for on-site welding, making it a straightforward option for both new and existing sites.

Another option from IFC Inflow

For us, launching MAS-Lite isn’t about replacing bespoke engineering. It’s about giving our customers another option.

There will always be applications where a fully engineered, site-specific access or fall prevention system is the right approach. But there are also plenty of everyday access challenges where a modular solution can provide what’s needed without unnecessary complexity.

MAS-Lite allows us to support both.

And while the format may be different, the thinking behind it is the same as the rest of our equipment: practical engineering, safer access and Safety by Design.

Making safe access simpler

Improving site safety isn’t only about addressing the biggest hazards. It also means looking at the everyday ways people interact with their working environment.

Are operators stepping over pipework? Has new equipment created an awkward route? Could access between two areas be made safer and easier?

Often, relatively simple changes can make a meaningful difference.

With MAS-Lite, we can help identify those access challenges and provide a practical solution that works for the site and the people using it.
