Articulated Bottom Loading Arm

The BLA-403 Articulated Bottom Loading Arm is used for loading and unloading liquid tankers at ground level. It can be used in a range of industries including Chemical and Petoleum. This Bottom Loading Arm is designed to provide maximum coverage for the side or back loading points of a tanker.

The Loading Arm can be used for both tanker loading and tanker unloading operations, transferring all types of liquid such as Chemicals, Solvents, Alcohols, heavy fuel oils and other heated products. It is particularly suited to loading liquids that are hazardous to health or hazardous to the environment. The BLA-403 is also ideal for loading tankers with liquids that require very high or very low temperatures.

Articulated Bottom Loading Arm
Features and benefits

  • Bottom loading/ unloading removes the need to work at height on top of the tanker, creating a safer work environment
  • Spring balancing makes it easy to handle and maneuver by a single operator
  • Horizontal swivel joints allow the arms to extend out to their full range and fold away into a small parking envelope.
  • Vertical swivel joints allow the arms to move up and down within a set range.
  • Arms designed to suit specific liquids, with wetted materials including aluminium, carbon steel, stainless steel and PTFE lined versions.
  • Heated arms are available with thermal insulation and trace heating to maintain product at a constant temperature
