Features and benefits

The IFC LP1600 Access Platform is an ideal solution for single-point tanker access. Because it is designed with a 1.6m square working area, this unit can be fitted with a range of equipment including our FlowStep folding stairs, TTSC fall prevention safety cages and ChemLoad or PetroLoad loading arms. In addition, its minimal footprint design makes it an ideal option for sites with restricted space. The LP1600 is ideal where simple operations such as single point loading/unloading, tank venting, hatch opening, or sampling take place. Because our LP1600 range is modular, it can be adapted to client requirements, including height and size of the platform, the orientation of the access stairs, and platform equipment. Here are some more features and benefits:

  • Grated access steps, as well as platform for slip resistance
  • Full height handrail to steps, as well as platform surround
  • Galvanised finish, thus providing a durable weather-proof solution
  • Modular design allows for fast and easy site installation
  • Optional GRP flooring, stainless steel handrail, and painted structure

Case Study
The Fixed Tanker Loading Gantry in action

We recently completed a job for cement company Aggregate Industries. Their busy site in Tilbury Docks has many tankers loading and unloading every day, with workers needing to access the tops of the vehicles as a part of operations. Their existing Fall Prevention system utilised mobile solutions that were both inefficient and not up to the high standards of safety they were wanting to maintain on their site. See the solution we created here.
